Our butchers are working with a new turkey farmer this Christmas. John Howe has the same ethos we have with our food, simply to produce the best turkey possible.
A small family farm which started producing turkeys in 1976 with just 25 birds. The turkeys are slow growing, old fashioned breeds which are free to roam the grassy paddocks of their farm from 10 weeks old. They are reared to full maturity on a natural, cereal based diet, to give a delicious and succulent flavour.
The turkeys are processed at the farm too so they do not need to be live transported, they are dry plucked by hand and hung for a minimum of 10 days. All of this care and attention to detail means we are confident the turkey you buy from The Hungry Guest this year will reach you in perfect condition and most importantly, taste delicious.
To compliment your Christmas dinner our butchers have also made “Pigs in Blankets” using our popular salt and pepper chipolatas. Our chefs have been busy too with a Walnut & Apricot sourdough stuffing new to the range this year and of course staples such as the popular Cranberry & Orange Sauce. Our new frozen food shop has a choice of side dishes to make your day easier including roast potatoes cooked in beef dripping.
