Our shop is home to a dedicated butchery. Our meat counter boasts a wide variety of local reared beef and in house prepared sausages. Our experienced and friendly butchers are eager to assist and give advice on anything from the perfect cut, to the best method of cooking.
Our pork is free range and locally sourced from Scott Free Range and our lamb is the traditional South Downs breed sourced from the green fields of Sussex and sometimes just over the border in Hampshire. Our game such as pheasant is all wild and shot locally and our venison comes from our very own farm in Mereworth, Kent. We butcher all our carcasses in house and our beef is dry aged for 32 days ensuring superior quality and flavour.
We have responded to customer demand and can supply a broad variety of meat. From black legged chickens – renowned for their full flavour meat, to the more unusual such as oxtail, veal, mutton and even brawn. Just speak to our butchers and we will try our best to source this for you.
Our sausages have won several national awards and we make over 10 different varieties each week by hand. Our burgers are popular too, made with rump mince, the flavour and texture means these are no ordinary burgers. We are proud of our offering and the passionate butchers what work to serve our customers.
