A Simple Fresh Dish: Mereworth Market Garden Melon and Basil Recipe | The Hungry Guest
This month at The Hungry Guest, we’re celebrating our Mereworth Market Garden melon and basil recipe, a fragrant, balanced dish inspired by the best ingredients.
Ingredients:
½ x Mereworth melon
5 x slices of good quality cured leg ham
1 x pack of mixed Mereworth lettuce leaves
½ x tub of Hungry Guest basil pesto
Salt and pepper
Method:
- Cut the melon in half, deseed and peel. Cut into thin slices
- Wash the lettuce leaves and dry well
- Roll the ham into rosettes
- Assemble by layering melon, ham, and then salad leaves
- Season with salt and pepper
- Dress with the basil pesto
