We have created local jobs and employed local traders to build, restore and maintain our food shop and cafes. Over the years we have run apprenticeship schemes at the butchery, supporting young, part-time schoolchildren as they become master butchers, helped a barista with a penchant for numbers become a fully qualified accountant and seen a server progress into a cafe manager. 

We are proud to have recently started our own Management Development Programme where we identify promising young managers and give them the opportunity to spend a year working in each key area of the business, including hands-on experience with our artisan bakers and producers, whose craft and passion symbolise the heart of our business.
