Mereworth Market Garden | Grown for Flavour
Witness the magic of Mereworth Market Garden! 🌿🌻 Our talented Market Gardeners have been diligently cultivating a variety of delicious seasonal produce which we are fortunate to see filling the shelves of The Hungry Guest Food Shops as well as, the menus of The HG Café and sister restaurants E.Street Bar & Grill and The Angel Inn in Petworth.

As we are entering Summer and the soil has finally warmed up, much of the activity in the market garden is spent planting up the outdoor crops, using up all plants that we’ve spent a lot of time raising in our propagation unit. Even the winter crops, from leeks to brussel sprouts, cabbages and caulis need to be planted into their final positions.
The heritage tomatoes, peppers and aubergines in the tunnels have established well, but it is still a wait until around July before we get to harvest these. Keep your eyes peeled for what’s to come from Mereworth Market Gardens! This fresh produce will soon be on our shelves 👀 😋
